PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVBT) - We're taking you inside businesses you probably can't stop in to see without an escort.

In a massive building just off Lynnhaven Parkway in Virginia Beach, we went inside Stihl, a company known for outdoor power equipment that is blending new technology with an old-world brand. Photojournalist Pat Dowd and I show you what's "Made In Hampton Roads."

You may not think of "Stihl" as a small business, but it is...on a large scale.  It's an independent business and it is encouraging other businesses like them to join together.  The message is, "Buy local."
