PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVBT) - Spike is in town to promote a charity event that U.S. Foodservice and Mari Anne Banks will host that will benefit five local food pantries.

Spike is one of the most recognized chefs in America and will be cooking up one of his famous burgers, the Collettis Smoke House Burger. He will also feature "Michelle's Melt."

This event will raise $10,000 dollars for the charities and U.S. Foodservice will be making a sizable food donation. Food banks typically run low on supplies during the summer months and this event will help ensure food is provided to local residents in need.
