Chris Reckling

Chris Reckling has anchored the weekend sports during WAVY News 10 at 6:00pm and 11:00pm since December, 1993.

Chris joined WAVY-TV in November, 1989, as a photographer, but quickly established himself as a reporter. Chris has been honored as "Hampton Roads Outstanding Sports Broadcaster" by the Chesapeake Athletic Club.

Chris is a Hampton Roads native. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, he is a graduate of Princess Anne High School. Chris received his Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Tech. He played football and baseball at both schools, and was a High School All-American during his days at Princess Anne.

Chris and his wife Cathy have two sons, Cameron and Casey.

Chris still calls Virginia Beach home and on his days off he can be found hitting golf balls or in the ocean surfing with his buddies.
