Who says you can't go home again? Not Jason Marks! Jason is a reporter at WAVY-TV/Fox 43 News. He came back to WAVY in September 2006 from WHNT in Huntsville Alabama.
Before that he worked at WBBJ in Jackson, TN.
While working in Jackson, Jason was the Sports Director. That was until May of 2003 when the devastating tornadoes destroyed downtown Jackson. Jason was the first reporter, local or national, to witness the aftermath of the storm. At that moment, Jason decided that news stories are what he wanted to cover.
Jason is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Though he enjoyed his time in Huntsville, Jason says he is thrilled to be back home and to be back near the beach.
Jason graduated from Kempsville High School in 1993. He then continued his education at Virginia Wesleyan College. He graduated in May of 1998 earning his Bachelor's degree in communications. Some of Jason's favorite college-day memories come from his time playing catcher on the VA Wesleyan Marlin's baseball team.
After graduation, Jason worked for four years at WAVY TV as a sound and camera technician.
Jason's first love is the Atlanta Braves. Jason has cheered on the Braves since he was a child and is still a devoted fan.
